Mask Advice

Make sure you’re covered

Please note that it is still mandatory to wear a mask in:

  • passenger transport (public transport, taxis, rideshare)
  • hospitals and health care, including Dental Society and St Clair Medical
  • pharmacies, including Amcal+
  • aged care facilities
  • disability care facilities

Masks are recommended when you are in indoor public places, especially when you can’t keep 1.5 metres distance from other people:

  • shopping centres and retail
  • workplaces
  • entertainment venues (e.g. libraries, cinema, theatre, live music)
  • sporting events
  • bars and restaurants (when not eating or drinking)
  • community centres and libraries

Face masks are important to help stop the spread of COVID-19 and other viruses like the flu.

Children under 12 years of age do not need to wear a mask.
